UKRAINIAN CINEMA ON PRAGUE SCREENS: RAISING FUNDS FOR THE ANIMAL SHELTER
Not only people suffer from Russian aggression and constant shelling of Ukraine. Thousands of animals were left without owners, shelters, care and food. Unfortunately, they are mentioned last. However, there are those who do everything possible to save four-legged friends.
The Ukrainian organization DOG MA organized charity screenings of two of our films in Prague - "Ivan's Land" by Andriy Lysetskyi and "The Living Fire" by Ostap Kostyuk. All funds collected from ticket sales went to help animals, namely to build and provide shelters and targeted assistance to volunteer centers in Kherson and Mariupol.
"In Ukraine, this problem has always been acute. After the invasion of Russia, it became catastrophic. This is an urgent problem that needs your and our help," says the founder of the organization, Tasia Plieshyvtseva.
Both films were created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency.
